Our client, located in Los Angeles, CA is in need of a Project Manager for a long term assignment. In this roll, you will report to the Director PMO and be responsible for managing a variety of large projects as well as being involved in developing and introducing project management 'best practices' across the USA operations. Major Duties include: Manage project scope, ensure deliverables, work with business and IT management to form projects teams, identify/manage issues to resolution. Manage full-life cycle implementations and upgrades. Previous experience should include developing project plans, issuing status reports, running steering committee meetings, controlling scope, and managing issues. Participate in wider company initiatives to improve project management capability. Skills Requirements include: 10+ years of overall experience 5+ years as a project manager working on global initiatives - projects (>$1M), using Best Practices, and PM Tools (MS Project or CA Clarity [formerly Niku]. Experience managing various project types - including custom development, package implementation, and major enhancements. Demonstrated experience taking a project from beginning to end. Must have solid understanding of full Systems Development Life Cycle with demonstrated experience producing all phases of deliverables [Initiation, Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Conversion, Training, and Implementation]. Project management tools - MS Project and CA Clarify [formerly Niku]. Experience leading projects crossing a variety of hardware/technology platforms – including AS/400, Unix, and Windows.
