Job Description:
* Participate in new product prototyping
* Work hands-on in the development of web applications (Flash/XML)
* Provide technical guidance during product planning and development
* Build functional Flash demos for prototyping and presentations including
dynamically driven Media Players.
* Enhance UI of proprietary backend applications and corporate websites
* Plan development iterations.
* Design for scalability; create data models and UML diagrams as-needed.
* Adhere to assigned project schedules. Coordinate activities with PM and
other developers.
* Manage development and test environment: installation, configuration,
backup/recover & performance tuning.
* Participate in and contribute to internal training and review sessions.
What types of skills you should have before applying:
* 4+ years experience in Web Development focusing on Flash/Flex, JavaScript,
XML/XSL, HTML, CSS
* Extensive knowledge of Flash Actioncript 3/Actionscript 2 is a requirement
and Flex is a plus
* Create/utilize dynamic Flash content in web applications
* Database Integration for Flash and other web applications
* Experience developing Flash components for use in web applications
* Experience using audio/video in Flash
* Experience/knowledge of Flash Media Server 3.0
* Knowledge of Flash networking protocols and streaming technologies such as
RTMP, RTMPS, player, encoder
* Strong understanding of JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (MooTools
preferred)
* Experience developing libraries for use by 3rd parties is a plus
* Experience with DWR is a significant plus
* Cross-Browser/Cross-Platform Support
* Debugging experience
* Understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP), web optimization
practices and examples to prove it
* Experience building OO systems using a structured methodology; experience
in iterative development preferred
* Strong understanding of HTML and CSS
* Ability to work in a fast paced team environment and stay focused and
deliver on time and on budget
* Working with Java / C++ team on data communication
