RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work closely with Architect in preparing detailed
requirements for projects based on high-level architectural
requirements, assisting in technical design specification, developing
designs that meets the detailed
requirements and implementing them appropriately. Use your domain
expertise to influence the design decisions and direction of the
products.
* Be part of the team implementing solutions according to
specification and being responsible for or be a significant part of
project execution and ensure completion of projects on-time, within
budget, and according to quality requirements. At times, an SSE may be
asked to take ownership of a set of functions/features and work with
the project PM to deliver the software according to specifications
within budget and timeline
* Working with Architect and the Product Management team, the SSE will
assist in evaluating and planning for future product feature sets.
* Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with cross-
functional team.
EXPERIENCE:
* It is expected that the candidate will have at least of 8+ years in
the software industry with at least 3 years of experience in writing
and preparing technical specifications, including a successful track
record of delivering quality commercial software on time and within
budget.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in designing and building
large scale, high performance hosted web based solutions oriented
towards E-Commerce integration, Supply & Demand Chain Automation, B2B/
A2A Integration and Financial/ePayment industry focus.
* Demonstrated successful track record in working small focused
software engineering team to build and launch innovative software and
service solutions.
* Demonstrated successes working in a rapidly changing, collaborative
product development environment using Agile/Scrum methodology.
* Experience in managing project and leading a small team is a
definite plus
EDUCATION/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors degree is required; Technical degree in Mathematics,
Computer Science or related technology discipline is a must.
* Experience in building software using internet based protocol (HTTP,
FTP, SMTP, WebServices/SOAP)
* Knowledge and experience in Web 2.0, Java/J2EE, Oracle.
* Knowledge in B2B semantics and commonly used technologies (X12/
EDIFACT, RosettaNet, XML etc.)
* Exposure to building and deploying software as a service (SaaS)
* Thrives in working with small team, building great products that can
have a large impact to our industry and customers.
