Peter has some updates on the FX release, which might be possible share to the JUG members. In this talk Phil describes some of the options available for modular application development in Java, ranging from the traditional hierarchical Java class loader model through to OSGi. He explains usage scenarios for the options supported in Impala, as well as some of the benefits and limitations. Slot 4 Time: 19:35-19:50 Author: Mike Burton and Daniel Perry Subject: Consuming A .Net Web Service Using Java URL: Do you need to consume a .net webservice using Java? Well, both Daniel and Mike have real world experience integrating with .Net Web Services. In this presentation they show how to do this using Apache AXIS, and compare it with JAXWS. Slot 5 Time: 19:55-20:10 Author: Sunny Chan Subject: Challenges on Java Application Deployment in a large enterprise. URL: Most people deploy their Java application as a Java Applet or a Java Webstart application.
