Prefer local candidates… FUNCTIONAL AREA: Systems POSITION FUNC TITLE: Senior Systems Analyst (eBusiness Suite SME) MANAGER FUNC TITLE: Business Leader (SME) PURPOSE The Senior Systems Analyst (eBusiness Suite SME) is a key strategic position to improve and control development and support of the Oracle eBusiness (“GIFS”) platform at Visa. This position will review and co-ordinate all activity (development and support) for GIFS and hence ensure that parallel projects, patching and support activities can co-exist. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY RESULTS AREA This senior role is will operate as a peer to the Development and Support Leaders and will work with each team as a Quality Assurance gate for all eBusiness Suite activity. Improvement initiatives, such as the introduction and delivery of Quarterly Patching, will be the responsibility of this individual and this Subject Matter Expert will review all projects and major support activities on the system. STRATEGIC NATURE, MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITY & SCOPE The GIFS application is deployed across the globe and expected to grow in scope over the coming years. This position plays a contributing role in deciding the strategic direction of the application, maintaining the operational performance and ensuring that the architecture and process are appropriate. DECISION MAKING & COMPLEXITY This position will be required to make recommendations to both Functional and Technical staff based on a complex combination of factors. A well developed and methodical decision making process is required, with recommendations to withstand scrutiny from both internal and external audit checks. FINANCIAL & ORGANIZATIONAL SCOPE This position will not directly manage a budget or team, but will provide estimates and recommendations based on experience and act as a reviewer of strategy and both technical and functional decisions. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS & INTERACTIONS Reporting directly to the Business Leader (SME), this position forms a key part of the leadership team and will interact frequently with the Development, Support and FRM teams. Strong internal customer (functional user) relationships are essential and this position will work with the Finance Systems Strategy (FSS) team on a daily basis to ensure alignment with the functional requirements together with a wide variety of other senior level management across the enterprise. KEY COMPETENCIES · Direct, influence and coach others to ensure effective and efficient use of the eBusiness Suite and hence successful project delivery and support performance · Promote a culture of quality and a discipline of configuration control across the team · Manage multiple competing priorities and negotiate the best possible outcomes REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - Deep knowledge of the Oracle eBusiness Suite at both Functional and Technical levels - Understand business requirements, architecture, development and implementation of Oracle Financial Applications using standard coding best practices, AIM methodology and Oracle´s development tools - Proven experience influencing a diverse team of experts, without a direct reporting relationship - Ability to understand solutions from both a technical and business perspective - Minimum of 8 years experience in Oracle E-Business Suite Applications with emphasis on Financial Applications - A demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and sustaining a high level of performance when under pressure - A person who is comfortable communicating at all levels within the organization PREFERRED EXPERIENCE - Demonstrated history of process improvement - Experience working with multiple cultures and offshore System Integrators - Demonstrated User training experience using the eBusiness Suite - Previous Project Management experience would be advantageous - Technical development background, preferably including PL/SQL, Java, OA Framework - Experience with Oracle Discoverer, Hyperion technologies and/or Noetix Views would be an advantage *Warm regards,** Sameer* *[email protected]* Web address: www.urpantech.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "JAVA-experts" group.
