Job Description:
 Test Manager will create and maintain a work plan of all testing tasks.
They will ensure the quality of the test and offer recommendations and/or
modifications for production. The Test Manager reports directly to the
project or program manager and oversees all Business testing resources
(staff and tools) and their responsibilities. Candidate will have the
ability to define the critical test objectives for the project and how they
will be accomplished and coordinated. Candidate will have project management
skills to include: managing risks, issues and planning (project and
resources).
Candidate will create and manage the execution of test plans and will have
the ability to understand project needs and develop a test strategy to meet
those needs. The qualified individual will be responsible for evaluating
test results and metrics.

Role and Responsibilities:
Create test strategy, schedule, and estimate of testing effort, working
closely with appropriate project and support resources.
Oversee the efforts of the test leads within the program, ensuring that
their efforts are in accordance with requirements, design documents, & test
plans.
Work closely with the IT team, Business Analysts, and Business Users in the
development of test cases in conjunction with testing level requirements
Work closely with the Business User and Business Unit Representatives to
understand business processes and develop concrete User Acceptance

Test criteria
Provide direction regarding the use of methods & tools for developing a
comprehensive/repeatable set of test cases for various applications to
ensure thorough testing
 Responsible for driving the strategy, technologies, requirements, planning
and execution of performance and load testing of a complex, end-to-end
environment  consisting of hand-held scanner devices (Mobile Manager 25),
modems/modem bank, custom FTP-like upload manager, web based admin
application, custom transaction managers, WebSphere MQ, Tandem FEOP,
WebLogic based SMO application, and a custom enterprise SAP implementation.
Additionally, the role is responsible for assisting in the diagnosis and
remediation of any performance issues that are detected during testing.
Also, the role is responsible for coordinating with and mentoring one or
more members of the QA team that will also be assigned to the effort.
Experience required in creating transaction load generation strategies and
tools for custom protocols not supported out-of-the-box by available
commercial load testing tools such as HP LoadRunner/Performance Center, IBM
Rational Performance Tester, etc.  Tools may include HP Performance Center
in addition to custom built load generation programs and/or extensions to HP
Performance Center.
Experience required in monitoring the performance, reliability and
transaction success within each of the technology layers exercised by the
generation/emulation of transactions initiated by the Mobile Manager 25
application and admin application including SAP, WebLogic, WebSphere, and
custom coded applications.  Tools may include HP Sitescope, Wily Introscope,
and/or custom monitoring scripts/programs.
Experience required in working with business owners to define practical
application/system performance requirements and success criteria.
Experience required in leading and mentoring a senior technical team in
complex technologies and projects.
Experience required in the diagnosis of performance issues, tuning and
optimization of response and throughput in the various technology layers,
including database and custom transaction managers.
