Hm. Fixed. Maybe you could describe what you're working on or what you're trying to achieve? In general, to do the sort of manipulations you're hinting at you need a canvas (ie, GooCanvas, which we haven't got a binding for as yet). But for certain simplifications you can get away with some creative Cairo work yourself. In the end there's not much you can't do on a DrawingArea. AfC Sydney
