*End to End Overview:*
E2E Testing will focus on two areas and encompass several activities to
prepare for test execution; ultimately ensuring the solution is
comprehensive and complete, and the necessary handoffs and integration
points are coordinated. Successful completion of E2E Testing is the
entrance criteria into Parallel Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
Simple Testing: Testing related units of work that are tightly coupled in
order to assess the ability of the various system components to interact
with one another and validate the system in terms of functionality,
usability and security. Integration includes:
SAP Module to SAP Module
SAP Module to / from TPV
Application to Application
Technology to manual process handoff (& vice versa)
Complex Business Scenario Testing: Testing real-life business scenarios
that span multiple functions and cross multiple systems. This is the testing
of all units together, to ensure that:
Development of requirements and specifications across all parties
(individuals and organizations) is consistent and the system in its entirety
satisfies requirements
Hand-offs and integrations between system-based and manual
processes function as required
Testing is no longer work type dependent but is driven by
end-to-end or process scenarios that incorporate the impact on every work
type
*SAP HR End to End Testing Analyst*:
- 2 - 3 years experience in the design and configuration of SAP HR
- Knowledge of SAP HR, including OM, PA, Benefits, Leaves, Compensation,
T&A and Payroll; hands-on technical experience a plus **
- Knowledge of key HR Outsourcing TPVs and other TPVs that frequently
interface with HR systems **
- Understanding of HR business processes and how technology integrates
with these processes to create a complete end to end HR solution **
- Experience in testing large scale, complex HR systems including
functional testing, integration/end to end testing, interface testing and
UAT **
- Understanding of system functionality required to enter and execute
parallel testing **
- Experience with interfaces, either building or testing **
- Flexible and willing to work with multiple teams / in multiple roles in
order to complete end to end testing
*SAP E2E Testing Analyst:*
- Understand end to end business processes and multiple system components
in order to develop key business scenarios for testing the end to end
solution
- Identify and understand critical integration points between various
solutions including Personnel Admin, Compensation, Organization Management,
Benefits, Payroll, Time & Attendance and Leaves Administration
- Understand interface and Third Party Vendor integration points
- Review existing functional test scenarios / scripts that represent a
single system component and link to another system components functional
test scenarios to create integrated test scenarios
- Re-write / modify existing functional test scenarios / scripts to
ensure the new, end-to-end scenario / script includes the appropriate steps
and tests the integrated components
- Understand expected results and test data required to execute an
end-to-end test script
- Execute end-to-end test scripts, identify and report defects based on
the expected results
- Explain defects to Functional Analysts, re-test system
