Business Objects Designer/Developer (2 needed) Immediate need for 2 strong Business Objects Designers in the Chicago area to service a client in the Financial Services industry. Candidates will be screened by former Business Objects employee.only extremely qualified candidates please. Initial contract is for 7 months with possibility of extension. Client: Confidential Location: Chicago Start Date: 8/25/2008 or sooner Duration: 7 months with possibility of extension Bill Rate: Dependant on Experience Type of Contract: C2C; Accountability: 1) Overall design and implementation of reporting environment including creation, maintenance and review of Business Objects Universes. 2) Designs, develops and tests BI reports in Business Objects environment. 3) Oversees team of developers, ensuring adherence to standards, requirements and project timeline 4) Assisting with designing and coding the functions of the application under direction of the architects and project manager. 5) Produces development standards 6) Produces efficient error-free reports. 7) Develops and conducts unit, integration, and system test plans. 8) Assists in setup/troubleshooting of Business Objects environment. 9) Prepare applicable system documentation 10) Works with architects and/or technical leads and business users to translate requirements into technical specifications 11) Develops and implements tools or applications for accessing and analyzing data and metadata 12)Participates in the refinement of dimensional models required to support specific business user needs 13) Participates in the development, training and support for business users 14) Accountable to meet the estimated hour estimates based on assumptions and scope of the effort 15) Stays abreast of technology, tools and opportunities and identifies ways to incorporate new tools and ideas into development process; Required Skills: 1) Extremely through technical interview by a person who has worked for Business Objects will be conducted - only qualified candidates please. 2) 5+ years Business Objects experience 3) 2+ years as a Business Objects designer 4) Ability to lead/mentor developers 5) Understanding of all phases of System Development Lifecycle (5+ years) 6) Understanding of data modeling concepts 7) SQL skills with ability to write queries without the use of a tool 8) Excellent documentation skills 9) Excellent verbal communication skills 10) Ability to present an idea and defend/persuade others 11) Strong problem solving abilities 12) Presents themselves in a professional manner at all times 2) Business Objects Developers (2 needed) Six strong Business Objects Developers needed for a Financial Services industry client in the Chicago area.
