*Position:* SharePoint Project Manager *Location:* Pittsburgh, PA(Local or who can come for F2F) Duration: 3-6 Months+ *Position Type: *Contract *SharePoint Project Manager:* *General Requirements:** * - Travel will be very minimal (once a month for one day to Ohio). Willingness to travel beyond this low percentage is desirable but not required. This is NOT a development position. An understanding of SharePoint from the user-perspective (functionality) is critical, but they will not be asked to code (unless they also have this skill). This candidate must be willing to learn new technologies. Ideally this person would be a senior level resource in the practice and would participate in strategic endeavors (either immediately or in the near future). . *A qualified candidate should possess the following skills:* Strong traditional IT project management skills including: Experience managing large-scale application development efforts and/or software implementations from inception to completion. –* 4+ years* Experience gathering and organizing requirements, and creating project documentation such as functional specifications, design specifications, etc. –* 4+ years* Understanding of common project management tools (MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, etc.). Understanding of industry standard development methodologies (iterative & waterfall variants). Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills. Superior attention to detail. Resource planning and team leadership skills. PMI certification (desired but not required). *SharePoint (MOSS) experience including:* Recent experience working on SharePoint projects (architecture planning, custom development, administration / support, etc.). –* 2+ years* Understanding of features, functionality, and capabilities of SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint 2007. General experience (management or development) with other technologies including: K2 2003 and K2 blackpearl (desired but not required). .NET application development (desired but not required).
