Location: NYC Bill-Rate: $ /Hr inc. all on C2C Duration: 12 months *Notes from the manager:* This is a replacement position for a consultant who has resigned. In short, what I would like is someone smart, who knows LDAP (either Sun, IBM or Oracle is fine), is able to script (preferably Perl since that's what I write in), has a good basic knowledge of UNIX, is intelligent enough that we can teach him TIM/TAM/IDI, and is interested enough that he/she would want to learn it. While TIM/TAM/IDI may be mentioned on the job description, they are not mandatory. *Major Opportunities and Decisions:* May often be leveraged across the organization, staffed to and/or consulting to projects that require their special expertise Participates in the engineering and design of relevant enterprise security projects and participates in the decision making as it relates to technology implementation, as it relates to LDAP and TIM/TAM environments. *Principal Accountabilities:* • Work with LDAP, TIM and TAM to support the user administration community. • Create /modify/extend LDAP schema according to architecture specifications. • Create/modify TAM LDAP Groups. • Create/modify LDAP/TAM/TIM ACIs. • Do performance tuning of LDAP as needed. • Able to perform monitoring, failovers, and replication. • Able to extract/import data from/into LDAP. • Create/modify scripts to push/pull data from LDAP. • Implement/Provide SSL certificate configuration to control connections to LDAP. *Competencies/Skills:* • Be able to administer and proactively monitor a scaleable and secure LDAP-based security infrastructure with a strong emphasis on command line tools including, ldapsearch, ldapmodify, db2ldif, and ldif2db. • Able to extend LDAP schema (attributes and objectclasses), LDAP DIT, and implement LDAP ACIs as required. • Able to do performance tuning of LDAP and knowledge of LDAP/UDB tuning parameters. • Able to troubleshoot and resolve LDAP Replication issues. • Enhance/Analyze LDAP/TAM/TIM logging to determine root causes of system malfunctions. • Development of utilities, and scripts in support of automating overall monitoring and reporting of TIM/TAM/LDAP systems, LDAP data validation, as well as TAM and TIM management. • Provide Third Level Support of LDAP, user intranet access (TAM), and user provisioning process (TIM). Education: BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science. Experience: 3+ years experience with LDAP or X.500 directory server implementations with at least one of the following: iPlanet/Sun ONE 4.x-5.1, OpenLDAP, or IBM Directory Server. Must have a minimum. of 5 years UNIX, AIX, Solaris and/or Windows NT/2000 systems administration.
