This role will provide support primarily to Oracle database instances, with some responsibility for SQL*Server. The environment currently includes approximately 100 servers with~50 Oracle databases and ~20 SQL databases. Planned infrastructure enhancement projects require the involvement of a *DBA* to plan and execute tasks for Oracle and MS SQL databases. Projects include: 1) Migration of Oracle and MS SQL databases to NetApp SAN 2) 64 bit upgrade pilot for Oracle, MS SQL, and Oracle RAC 3) 64 bit-upgrade rollout This resource will also participate in planning for new SAN backup and other database related enhancements. This resource may also be utilized by client's ODA to perform application database support work.
