We have about 60 minutes to submit and it will be filled so we need to move
quickly.
Importance: High
I need a Cognos Designer/Developer ASAP - for work starting on Monday
September 22nd in Albany, NY.
Must have skills:
1. 3-5 years of hands on experience developing with Cognos BI products
including; Query Studio, Report Studio, and Framework Manager.
2. Demonstrated experience as a senior developer or team lead in a high
performance environment.
3. Experience defining and documenting information delivery functional
requirements.
4. Experience defining and documenting information delivery design
specifications.
5. Understanding of data modeling and developing Cognos Framework models.
6. Outstanding SQL skills
7. Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues regarding performance and data
retrieval.
8. Experience in testing information delivery implementations including unit
testing, SIT and UAT.
Added Value Skills;
1. Participated in the definition and implementation of enterprise Cognos
best practices and standards.
2. Healthcare and Healthcare Payer experience desired but not mandatory.
3. Experience designing and building web portal solutions including .NET
and/or Java development and integrating web services using Cognos SDK 4.
Experience working with Cognos SDK and integrating report implementation
into other scheduling tools such as Tidal
Project Description:
The client is currently in phase 3 of a multi phase enterprise data
warehouse program.
Deliverables for phase 3 include:
1. EBI Wave 3 is the extract, transformation and load of the claim subject
area data from specified data sources into the integrated data store ("IDS")
and EDW.
2. Continued support and evolution of the Business Intelligence Competency
Center (BICC) for executing on the information delivery strategy.
Specifically,
the BICC will design, develop and deliver a to be determined suite of Cognos
reports.
3. Continued support and evolution of the information and data stewardship
process to provide for implementation of the claim subject area
