The primary responsibilities of the Service Developer are to:
* Sonic ESB development
* Design and develop enterprise-wide utility services, including Web
services and messaging services
* Test (both unit and system) services or web services
* Deploy web services or services
* Maintain enterprise-wide utility services or web services
* SOA environment software installation, upgrade and maintenance (software
infrastructure and S&P common utility services only).
* Perform SOA environment-related activities: monitoring, software
installation and upgrade, SOA changes/maintenance, documentation, HA/DR
configuration
*Qualifications
Excellent verbal communication skills are essential. In addition, the
following skills are needed:
* 6 years IT experience overall
* 3-4 years concentration in Web-services and web application development
* 3-4 years experience in Java and/or .NET with Object Oriented programming
skill set
* Strong XML/XSLT, XML Schema, SOAP, UDDI, HTTP, Javascript, SQL, XPath,
AJAX, J2EE (especially on Java Web Service, JMS, MDB) or C# including
messaging
* Strong understanding of the SOA service software development lifecycle
* Strong knowledge of Web Services standards (SOAP, WSDL, WS-Security) and
OASIS WSI profiles in particular.
* Good understanding of web services infrastructure and service technology
concepts
* Experience with Sonic MQ/ESB strongly desired
* Understanding of layered network architectures desired*
