Experience with Oracle Rac or OCSF is a huge plus! Description As a *UNIX Systems Administrator* in our Centralized IT Operations department, you will primarily be responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of UNIX and Linux system hardware, operating systems and infrastructure. *Specific responsibilities:* - Perform operating system upgrades, capacity planning, and performance analysis as it relates to day-to-day operations. - Troubleshoot OS and hardware level server issues as they arise. - Support server environments in local data center and several regional distributed computer rooms across the U.S. - Work with data center automation tools such as Opsware SAS and enterprise systems management tools such as CA Unicenter to support, monitor and optimize server environment. - Work with vendors and in-house engineers to define operational standards to ensure solutions comply with configuration standards, best practices and audit guidelines. - Handle provisioning in managing storage in an EMC DMX environment. - Drive ongoing process improvement.
