Duration: Bay Area, CA Duration: 6 months+ Rate: Market We are seeking a senior level Sr. Security / Firewall Engineer with PIX and Checkpoint Infrastructure experience. Successful candidates should have the ability to work quickly to solve client needs, be flexible, and able to think "outside of the box". He or she must have the ability to think logically and analyze application and business process requirements, be willing to "do what it takes" and have a teamwork approach to work but also be able to act independently to solve problems. Requirements: • Expert knowledge of Cisco and Nokia Checkpoint Firewall products - Cisco CCIE, CCNA or CCNP Routing and Switching certification preferred - with a minimum 7 years experience administering enterprise networks in mission-critical, 7x24 production environments. • The person will need to understand Security Policy experience and understanding. Cisco Routing and switching experience. • Complex firewall and security design or support, troubleshooting with specific experience in Cisco IOS, PIX, Checkpoint. • Solid understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols. • Extensive experience with both interior and exterior routing protocols, including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP. • Experience designing high-availability networks in load-balanced, n-tier application environments. • Experience deploying and managing SNMP-based network monitoring tools. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience). • Ability to understand systems from all levels, from the "big picture" enterprise-level view to the low level technical view. • Experience leading technical projects, including planning, documentation, and implementation. • Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot problems in complex systems and network environments. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among multiple concurrent projects while also handling interrupts. -- Thanks, Arpan.
