Works closely with client and IT management and staffs to identify application development solutions, new or modified programs, reuse of existing code through the use of program development software alternatives, or integration of purchased solutions or a combination of the available alternatives. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective application programming solution. May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives and/or integrates purchased solutions. Documents, tests, implements and provides on-going support for the applications. Provides highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives Acts as expert technical resource to development staffs in all phases of the development and implementation process. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. *Specific Responsibilities:* A *senior level application* software development professional to participate in the *Call Center Systems* development group for *Individual Life Insurance*. This individual will have direct responsibilities for * analysis*, *design* and *development* of *c, c++* applications running *on tuxedo middleware*. The resource will participate in all facets of the *SDLC * to provide solutions in our existing *CRM solution* - *Clarify*. They will be required to provide *full lifecycle support*; requirements gathering, analysis, design, construction and multiple levels of application test. The person should posses at *least 5 years of c, c++ development* in a *UNIX environment* and has solid knowledge of *Tuxedo/Tuxedo Administration*. *Strong UNIX* *(AIX preferred),* *shell* and *PERL script* needed. Knowledge of the *CRM application Clarify* is a plus.
