*Job Title:* Senior Java Engineer with Swing and Equity experience - Java,
Swing, Eclipse RCP, J2EE, Equities, Spring, Web Services, JMS
*Location: *Marlborough, MA
*Duration: *1 year+
*Deadline: *ASAP *Must be local to MA due to required in-person interview*
This candidate will be contributing design and implementation for the Rapid
Solutions platform that will be leveraged in building applications at a
brisk pace. Equity and asset allocation portfolio managers depend on this
platform to achieve their investment objectives. A primary technical
objective of the new platform is to leverage Object Oriented principles and
an established technology set to create a robust, highly modularapplication.
*Responsibilities:*
· Contribute to the broad technical design and implementation of the
new Portfolio Construction application
· Design and implement a robust UI using Swing/Eclipse RCP
· Work closely with Business Analysts and end-users to review and
implement the business requirements
· Work with peer technical leads in designing a strong framework for
modular software development
· Contribute toward construction of a rich, automated Unit Testing
solution for the application
*Skills Required:*
· Experience in using UI technology with Swing is required.
Experience with SWT and Eclipse RCP (UI development) is a plus
· 7+ years of experience in development using Java and J2EE
technologies
· Experience in building or leveraging frameworks and processes that
ensure development is in accordance with design
· Experience in designing and building highly scalable and effective
Web Services is required
· Strong knowledge and experience in using frameworks (e.g. Spring)
and messaging technologies (e.g. JMS)
· Experience in object modeling is required
· Demonstrated track record of strong Analysis, Design and Modeling
skills with relevant experience in architecting business critical, n-tier
Java Based applications
