Hi,

I checked on a JDK ftp mirror site to see which files I need to
download, but there was no indication, not even in the README.ftp
file. I found the correct directory, alright, but there are four large
files inside, and I don't think all of them are needed. For example,
the jre file is probably not needed when I already get the jdk file.
Here is what the directory
ftp://ce.usu.edu/pub/mirror/linux/JDK/JDK-1.1.6/i386/glibc/v2/
contains:

   i18n1.1.6-v2-glibc.tar.gz
   jdk1.1.6-v2-glibc.tar.gz
   jre1.1.6-v2-glibc.tar.gz
   rt1.1.6-v2-glibc.tar.gz

Which of these is what? In particular, what is the i18n file and the
rt file? It might be a good idea to include this info in the readme
file to avoid people downloading some unneeded huge files.

Robert.

Microsoft isn't the answer. Microsoft is the question and the answer is no.
