Hi,
I do have a real problem with RMI and linux :-(
Perhaps itīs my own fault ... but I donīt know how
to handle the problem ...
There runs a server that provides a remote-object.
A client connects to this server and provides him-
self another remote-object to the server. The
server scans the connected clients and perhaps
sends an update-message to them (if some conditions
are fullfilled).
Everything is running so far.
If the server runs idle for 10 to 15 minutes and a
new client tries to connect the connection is
established ... but then both - the server and the
client - stop working. There is no way but killing
the processes (rmiregistry, java server and
java client). No exception is thrown.
Iīm using JDK 1.1.5 Rel. 7 on linux kernel 2.0.33.
Any ideas ?? Thanks in advance.
Greetings,
Lars Rusdorf
