I read the bottom of your message but in fact there is still an unstable dist,
check out ftp.debian.org, cd to /pub/debian/dists and type "dir" ;-)

I'm using jdk-1.1.5v7-glibc: java full version "Linux_JDK_1.1.5_v7_sbb_unified"
I don't use debian packages for java because I want to have multiple
java versions on my system so I can check out differences between them.
(All of them are glibc versions.)

I'm downloading that right now.

Do you make the debian packages by compiling the sources yourself or do
you just repack the tar.gz?

Bye, Jürgen.
