Would the JDK 1.1.5 you mentioned happen to be 1.1.5v6? I've had problems with
that one myself. Whenever I ran AWT apps (which includes Swing), nothing would
happen, or on rare occasions the thing would start, but crash in the next 10
seconds as soon as I did something to the GUI...
In any case, I didn't have the same problem with 1.1.5v7. But why not get the
latest? 1.1.6v2.
