Personally I like Informix database products and have been using them for a
long time with great success. So naturally I was delighted when they announced
a release for Linux that cost nothing for the server and tools for development
and only minor cost for support for end users. And the icing on the cake came
last week when they released their 100% Java JDBC drivers for 2 tier
architecture for FREE. I have not used the JDBC drivers yet but I think its
worth a look.
my 2 cents,
