Q how do I covert an applet to a Servlet

Hi,

I have been presented with what I think must be a very
common request.

Can you convert an Applet to a Servlet ?

I have just been presented with this task after 
a very large applet application has been created
that contains quite a number of files. But the
application now needs to be converted into a 
Servlet based application for security reasons.

Can any one help ?
