i'm having a bit of a text problem with java-icq. i've seen this problem with
both sbb jdk-1.1.5 v7 and sn jdk-1.1.6 v1.2. it seems to me like it's a
simple java/X/Motif problem, but i'm not knowledgeable about these things, so
i cannot figure out how/what to change.
whenever i run icq (v0.981a Preview), everything initially looks good, but
when i send a message to someone or receive mail from someone, all the non
message fields are empty. on the controlling pty, a message like this is
printed for every character in the non message fields:
Warning:
Name: textfield
Class: XmTextField
Character 'm' not supported in font. Discarded.
the message itself appears fine.
does anyone know (or at least think they might know) how to fix this problem.
it's mighty annoying.
