Please include the error messages :^|
And are you sure you want to use the swing.jar file or the swingall.jar
file. Be aware that the swing.jar file does not contain all the plafs (I'm
not sure whether it contains the Metal L&F, but it probably does, if it does
not, then this may be your problem)

Not a matter of OS, it's a matter of Java runtime.
