JDK 1.2 Announcement at LWN

I just saw Steve Byrne's announcement at:

This is good news indeed. Continuing thanks to the Java-Linux team for
their efforts in this area.

Is anyone able to comment as to whether this agreement will cover
HotSpot when it arrives ?
