What do I have is the same problem. The '<' key produces '>' only in a
Java App. if numluck is on, then '<' produces '*>'. This same app does
not behave this way on other platform (Sun, Mac, Unix, Windows). We are
running jdk117, RH5.2, Alpha 21164.
