Well, it looks like my problem is with lesstif. I turned on "DYN_JAVA=true", and re-ran, and found that the pre-build JDK also crapped out with a SEGV. And green_threads worked. So it looks like the common thread is that if I'm using lesstif, I can't use native_threads -- it croaks big time. --chet--
