I've been paying attention to this as well, and (unfortunately) I
haven't been able to find anything more specific than press releases
about semi-open-source JDK development on Sun's site.  I'd like to help
with the port to 1.2, but it seems pointless to acquire a 1.1 source
license in order to do so.
