Am I the only person on this list who *doesn't* want to help finish the port?
:-) I recall an old truism about too many cooks -- as well as some theorems from
parallel processing about the difficulties of over-partitioning certain
problems.
The paucity of information on Sun's site is surprising. The help they're
providing for an OS that they don't control is remarkable; it's a bit out of
character for them *not* to turn this into a publicity juggernaut. And I doubt
they're being low-key in order to avoid offending Microsoft. :-)
