1.2 but for a linux kernel bug?

It would seem from the 1.2 status page that 1.2 is fully functional
except on 2.0.xx linux kernels. Is this correct? Do we have to wait
for a kernel patch to get 1.2 or can it be released with the caveat
that it requires a 2.2.x kernel?
