I hate to jinx it by saying anything, but it looks like I have successfully escaped from the >Gates< of Hell (== I managed to get my data, including the JDK cvs tree off my "dead" disk and onto a new one). Thnaks too all who helped ward off the spells and curses of the evil one in Washington (now THERE is something to think about!) with their good thoughts and prayers. :-) Steve
