Hi, I've been searching high and low for information on setting, through X or window manager resources, the various desktop colors that are reflected by the SystemColor class. I use fvwm2 and have set menu and window colors, but Java apps don't get it -- they see menus and controls in blue, and the desktop in green. (BTW, I have found that on Solaris with CDE, Java correctly sees user color preferences as set by CDE's little GUI control panel.) Has anyone been successful in getting the VM aware of users' window manager color preferences? I am using RedHat 5.0 with Steve Byrne's JDK1.1.6v2.
