Those of us who are developing Swing/JFC applications in JDK1.1 will be allowed to keep the package names e.g `import com.java.swing.*'. SunSoft have decided to adopt it as standard instead of reverting making swing part of the language hierarchy as in `import java.swing.*' (source: JDC Newsletter Vol. 1 No. 12 ) A couple of days a go I was contemplating writing a shell script to perform find and replace on "import" lines.
