Firstly I am not JDK source developer.

I think the development JDK 1.2 will largely upto Sun.
SunSoft only gives the native langauge source to someone it's trusts
for instance, a person who has signed the NDA (non-disclosure
agreement ).

This constrasts with Linux Kernel for example, where anyone on the Net
will ability and competence can participate in the development process.

Consequently I think the development of JDK1.2 will always lag behind
the Solaris version, unless SunSoft commits resources to permanent/contract
10xLinux developers. To just ask one trusted person to port code is
nonsense.

Anyway that's my two PENCE!
