I think the real Java domination starts with Jini. They can make so much more
money with Java for washing machines, TV sets etc.

Read some of the job ads for web admins. There's still a big market for the Sun
hardware. And Solaris is still OS #1 on this hardware.

I think Linux is definitely competitor #1 for WinNT. But Sun makes some money
with it's servers, so supporting Linux too much would hurt their business. Sun
is not a major player on the desktop, so they could support Linux there a lot
easier. But many people say, that Linux is not ready for the desktop.
