I just am getting myself set up with linux as my operating system. I am, however, going to find a way to add (cost being the factor) VMware and VNC, so I can run other OS's and help other people as well. I am a retired Principle Mechanical Designer who was forced to move from a manual documentation system into a digital documentation system. When I retired, I determined it was important to help my peers to make this move as painlessly as is possible. I am finding that it is M$ who puts the pain in our way, it's their greed, along with the greed of their supporters. I do find JAVA to be one of the tools we can use, however, we do need to make it, or at least it's applications, applets, and other parts far more accessible to the non programmer/developer and the non-adminstrator level. We, on the "mechanical" side of the world are not computer "geeks", we are just people who see this tool as just that, a tool; a very important tool, to boot, but we do not have the time to do all the programming ourselves. We just want to do our jobs. I have been, and will remain on this mailing list for some time. I am hoping I will learn some things which I can pass on to my peers, so they cam become more proficient "mechanical" designers and engineers. Thank you for all you have helped me with so far, and, I hope, for years into the future. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
