I recently downloaded your version of JDK1.2 pre v1 and I am havig a problem getting a window (Frame or JFrame) to appear on screen, when I declare a new Frame (or JFrame) and try to display it on screen, I get the following error: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:libfontmanager.so:libstdc++-libc6.0-1.so.2 I have checked in my /usr/lib directory and it contains the following file: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 I am running RedHat Linux 6.0 with glibc 2.1 and XFree86 version 3.3.3-4 (a version for the 3Dfx voodoo chipsets) and I downloaded the i386 version of JDK 1.2prev1.
