Hi guys. Are you aware of whether George is working on the 1.2/2.0 JDK
for the Alpha? For myself, I have the source kit and will be working his
1.17 changes in as a baseline, and starting working on an Alpha port
from there.
1. I could go "blackdown", thereby adding another official port for
Linux
2. My primary task was to port to the HP. But this has several
dependencies,
including working with Puffin people to get the MkLinux/HP back to
monolithic/native, and getting glibc 2.1 happy and content (gcc and
binutils
porting work is not *too* hard as the hppa port's been done for a
long time,
and making the thing emit ELF instead of SOM is not too big a deal)
If you guys would like to point me to current 1.2 patches (say, as of
rel 1), then
I can work in the background getting the Alpha port up and ready.
Sadly we all have day jobs too, otherwise...
