I use RMI extensively in JDK 1.1.7, under Redhat 4.2, 5.2, and 6.0,
and haven't run into this. Is it rmic that's failing? Does it fail on
any file, or only one specific one? Which JDK 1.1.7 are you using? Are
you using any JITs?
