Hello,

I installed the JDK from
ftp://tuiasi.ro/pub/lang/java/jdk/1.2/pre-v2/glibc2.1/jdk-1.2pre_v2-1.i386.rpm

set PATH, NS_JAVA=true and THREADS_FLAG=green
and tried to test out wether I got the right java version by

dilbert:/usr/share # java -version

For about 40 seconds nothing happened, but top said:

which means, that the "java" process growed to over 30 MB (!) while
doing effectively nothing. I'm curious what the "init" process was doing
in the background...

I hope someone can help as the JDK in this state is unusable for me.

Thanx,
Xuân Baldauf.
