Yes it is. Put libtya.so in jdk1.2/jre/lib/i386/ and it will find it.

When switching to JDK1.1 you probably did not recompile TYA causing
the "undefined symbol" error. Separate versions of TYA need to be
compiled for for JDK1.1 and JDK1.2.
