Compile OK but not Run

After an installation de jdk1.2 on Linux RedHat 6

I can Compile with javac in Xterm windows and i get one file.class

When i would run this file.class i use "java file.class" and it return this error :
at java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError.

Could you help me
