I wasn't on the list at that time, but earlier today I figured that out
myself, and it's fixed it to the extent that I'm now trialling the
"ideal" configuration on the live SMP server: 1.2 native threads, JIT.
it goes fast :-) I haven't yet tried to see if this fixes the problem
with starting the green-threads JVM on the SMP box, but it looks likely.
Not bothered with the fonts yet - this is servlet-only stuff ATM. :-)
