Hi
I have just installed JDK 1.2 pre-release 2 on a Linux RedHat 5.2 system and get
the following when I try to run java
[hsfr@rio hsfr]$ java -version
/opt/Java/jdk1.2/bin/i386/native_threads/java: error in loading
shared libraries
libhpi.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[hsfr@rio hsfr]$
It runs fine on an identical set-up on another similar box. The libraries
all seem to be there.
I have reloaded the system several times and each time it is the same.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
