I've downloaded, unzipped (attention, under Linux, use unzip with the
-U option or else you'll lose the uppercase letters in filenames) and
compiled the package.
The AWTExample test program actually prints some kind of screen with
an idea of a menu, but the whole thing immediately freezes and can
only be killed from a different console (it messes up the console it
was running on, too. I had to exit and log in once again).
I am using JDK 1.1.7 v1a, ncurses 4.2, glibc 2.0.7. There is
practically no documentation on the textawt package other than the
sources themselves, though the author says that it can't be run on JDK
1.2. Has anyone successfully used the textawt package, and if so, how?
