I am aware of this trickery, except that my <top_of_installation>/bin
subdirectory does not contain any of the scripts(!). They 're all under
<top_of_installation>/bin/x86/.../native_threads. And they don't do anything
when I run them!

Oh, yes, I have downloaded and unzipped the correct archives... It must be
something easy that I 'm missing, but what?

Any other clues?
