A few of you responded to my question about the following error: $ java /usr/local/java/bin/i386/green_threads/java: error in loading shared libraries libhpi.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory $ It seems to be an incompatibility between my glibc 2.0 and the JDK 2.1 that I downloaded. Suggestions were to download the JDK 2.0 instead. Is it safer to just install JDK 2.0 (with my current glibc 2.0) instead of putting glibc 2.1 on my SuSe 6.1 system (which uses glibc 2.0). Thanks much in advance. Vartan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
