Looks like libjava has some dependencies on the Linux /proc filesystem.
What do you see when you look in the /proc directory? If nothing (or the
directory doesn't exist), I'd say you've got a Linux that isn't
configured to support the /proc filesystem. That's a pretty strange
configuration, so my next question would be how you obtained your Linux
kernel.
